As part of our commitment to supporting a healthier community, Gateway Regional Medical Center’s Health Education Center provides a variety of opportunities for total wellness. Classes are designed to improve and maintain physical, emotional and mental health. Classes are for all ages and ability levels.

Smoking Cessation
Want to quit smoking or help a loved one quit? Gateway Regional Medical Center is here for you every step of the way.
Every 2nd Wednesday of the Month, Gateway Regional Medical Center offers FREE Smoking Cessation classes in our Ground Floor Conference Room. They are FREE and Open to the Public.

Women and Newborn Services
We offer free childbirth classes to guide you can your family through pregnancy and birth:
- Preconception: Preparing you can your partner physically and emotionally
- First Trimester: Addressing morning sickness and beyond. Learn what to expect and how to take care of yourself during the first trimester
- Prepared Childbirth: Developing your plan for birth, and discusses your expectations. You will practice techniques to get you through labor and delivery as comfortable as possible.
- Breastfeeding: Learn the benefits of breastfeeding, helpful techniques and how to care for yourself so you can do your best for your baby in a private one-on-one environment.
- Infant Care: A guide or refresher course for parents, grandparents, and anyone who will be taking care of your baby.
- Sibling Class: Expectant brothers and sisters, ages 3-10, can learn what a baby needs and how they can help out.
