Our Birthing Suites have the latest technology to ensure your baby’s safe delivery, while providing all the comforts of home. Each room has soft lighting, plenty of space, a TV/VCR and CD player, and a nice sleeper for your partner. We’ve created a beautiful setting for you and your family to welcome your bundle of joy.
An Experienced Nursing Staff
Our obstetric nurses have a wealth of experience and care about each and every family. Many of our nurses have been with us for over 10 years. We believe we have some of the best OB nurses in the entire St. Louis metropolitan area. Just ask anyone who has given birth at Gateway Regional!
Childbirth Classes
We offer classes to guide you and your family through pregnancy and birth.
Preconception: Even before you become pregnant, you and your partner can learn how to prepare for it physically and emotionally.
First Trimester: Morning sickness and beyond! Learn what to expect and how to care for yourself during the first trimester.
Prepared Childbirth: You and your partner discuss expectations and plans for birth. You will practice techniques to get you through labor and delivery as comfortably as possible.
Breastfeeding: Learn the benefits of breastfeeding, helpful techniques, and caring for yourself so you can do your best for your baby in a private one-on-one environment.
Infant Care: A guide or refresher course for parents, grandparents, and anyone who will be taking care of your baby.
Sibling Class: Expectant brothers and sisters, ages 3 – 10 can learn what baby needs and how they can help out.
