Inpatient and Outpatient Rehabilitation Specialties
The outpatient program at Gateway Regional Medical Center provides rehabilitation therapies for people with musculoskeletal and neurological disorders, including hand, occupational, physical and speech therapy. Patients receive care from a trained staff of rehabilitation professionals dedicated to getting patients back to enjoying life.
Our specialties include:
- occupational therapy—pediatric and adult
- physical therapy
- recreational therapy
- rehabilitative nursing
- speech therapy
Physical therapy can help those with:
- back pain
- muscle strains
- neck pain
- work injuries
At a patient’s first visit, a licensed therapist will perform an evaluation to assess pain, ability and function of all affected areas. Next, a therapy plan will be created to fit individual needs. Licensed therapists guide patients through the plan throughout the recovery process, striving for optimal results during and after rehabilitation.
