Gateway Regional Medical Center (GRMC) invites you and your friends to a free Skin Cancer Screening as a part of the Healthy Woman program. Emmanuel Afuwape, M.D., board certified general surgeon, will provide screenings to those who are concerned about a specific spot on their skin.

The screening will be held Thursday, July 24 and Friday, July 25 from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. at Gateway Regional Medical Center in Dr. Afuwape's office, Suite 203. Please call to make an appointment at (618) 798-8150.

The Healthy Woman program is designed to improve the emotional, physical and fiscal well-being of women and their families. The program will offer an ongoing series of free seminars, health fairs, educational programs and interactive events. The mission of Healthy Woman is to empower women with the knowledge and confidence to make informed healthcare and well-being decisions for themselves and their loved ones. Monthly presentations will cover physical and emotional healthcare, as well as financial well-being and spiritual development. Healthcare topics will include pertinent information on heart disease, skin cancer, cervical cancer, stress management, communication and life balance issues.
