THESE ITEMS SHOULD BE SENT HOME. If you are unable to do so, Gateway Regional Medical staff will contact the Security Department and a security officer will itemize the articles and place them in the hospital safe. At that time, you will receive a claim check that must be presented to reclaim any items left in the safe. The claim check or personal identification is needed when reclaiming your valuables to assure they are returned to the correct person.

Eyeglasses, Dentures & Hearing Aids
These items require special care. Ask your nurse for a denture cup, if appropriate. Take care not to leave these items on your meal tray or lying on your bed, as they may be lost. Gateway Regional Medical Center cannot accept responsibility for these items.
